Waste Fashion!

During Term 3, Wellington City Council came to school to run some great activities with the Matairangi Hub as part of our sustainability inquiry.

Room 8 made WASTE FASHION.

Their mission was to make costumes/outfits out of bubblewrap that is used at the Hospital and cannot be recycled. The only other tools they had were scissors, markers and staples.

At the start of this term, we decided to put on a FASHION SHOW for Room 9 and 10 to show off all our great designs.

We learnt lots during this activity about what we can do with old clothes and how to repurpose them or donate them.

Room 8 ASB

On Thursday morning, Room 8 have been going to ASB to learn and improve our sport skills!

So far, we have played Handball and we are now learning a new sport, called Pickle Ball.

Room 8 have enjoyed learning a new team game during handball practise. The goal is to get your whole team into the semi circle by throwing and catching balls to your teammates. It takes lots of teamwork and good communication.
